George E. Carey

George Carey, age 90, went to be with his Lord Tuesday, January 10, 2023. He was preceded in death by his parents Bert and Arva Carey; son, Mark Carey; sisters Margaret Anne Carey and Joyce Cooper. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Anne Carey; children Diana (Robert) Carey Timmer, Karlene (Randy) Ritter, Scott (Staci) Ecenbarger, Steven (Sarah) Ecenbarger-Carey, Carrie Wittbrodt; daughter-in-law, Tera Carey; 16 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and one on the way; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

George proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He was a fan of all Indiana University sports. He was an avid fisherman. George love his family dearly - especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Friday, January 13, 2023 at Cook Funeral Home (West building), 4235 Prairie St. SW, Grandville, Michigan. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, January 14, 2023, at Holy Redeemer Parish, 2700 Baldwin St., Jenison, MI 49428, with visitation from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service.
