He will be greeted in heaven by his dad, Jim Veenendall; brother, Chad Veenendall; Grandma, Joyce Totten; Grandpas Richard Guy, Robert Borst, and Arthur Totten; and his furry best friend of 11 years, Brady.
He is survived by his parents Jim and Carol Borst; girlfriend, Stephanie McFarland; siblings Chelsea (James) Russell, Josh Borst, and Marci (Jeff) Clay; nieces Jaedyn and Alaina Russell; many aunts, uncles and cousins; and the most amazing group of friends any “guy” could have.
To his friends and family, Guy was larger than life. His presence could be felt when he walked into a room, and his smile and boisterous laughter could lighten any situation. He loved U of M, golf, football, music, food but, most of all, he loved his family and friends. He was a giant kid at heart and loved being around kids. He loved to tease his nieces any chance he could, especially Alaina about her holy socks and choice of music.
Guy was willing to help anyone who needed it, and even after his death he still wanted to help. Guy had signed up to donate his eyes so that someone, or many people, could receive the precious gift of sight. All who knew or met him were all made better because of Guy. He was an inspiration through his sickness, brave beyond measure with each new health hurdle that came at him. And they did come at him in spades! Even though he was a fighter, his faith made him confident that when he left this world he would be greeted by his Dad and brother and, also, more recently, his furry best friend Brady in heaven. And that is exactly where he is. Someday we will once again hear, “Hey, what’s up?” when we are reunited with Guy in heaven.
