Herbert DeMaagd Jr.

He will be remembered by his children Deb (Ken) VanderLaan, Dan (Pam) DeMaagd, Barb (Tom) Koetje, Joel (Linda) DeMaagd, Doug DeMaagd; 24 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; brother Roger DeMaagd, brothers-in-law Gerald Herrema, George (Bev) Eckhoff: special friend Ruth Post;and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Herbert loved his country and proudly served in the U.S. Army. He enjoyed camping with his family, golfing and singing with a variety of groups such as: Cutlerville East Choir, Grand Rapids Symphonic Choir and a quartet of dear friends from church.

Visitation will be held from 5 - 8 p.m. Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at Cook Funeral Home, 2067 84th St SW, Byron Center, MI 49315. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, December 1, 2016 with visitation one hour prior at Cutlerville East Christian Reformed Church, 501 - 68th St., S.E., Grand Rapids, MI. Pastor Bill Renkema will be officiating. Interment will be at Kent Memorial Gardens.

In honor of Herbert and in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Christian Reformed Conference Grounds.
