Joanne Elise Strating

Joanne Elise Strating, age 88, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, April 30, 2025. Joanne was preceded in death by her husband, Roland; sister, Linda Beimers; and her parents. She will be lovingly remembered by her children Karri (David) Young, Karla (David) Freeman, Keith (Deb) Strating, Kevin (Nancy) Strating, Mike (Jolene) Strating, Tom (Amy) Strating; 14 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; sister, Kaye (Les) Tucker; sisters-in-law Sharon Meppelink and Sherry Strating; many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Jo was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who dearly loved her family. She devoted her life to the Lord and spent many hours in ministry at Fair Haven Church. She was a very kind and compassionate woman who was always willing to help others. She really enjoyed spending time in her flower garden, singing, and cooking meals for others.

Visitation with friends and relatives will take place from 10-11 a.m. Tuesday, May 6, 2025 at Cook Memorial Chapel (East Building), 4235 Prairie SW, Grandville, MI 49418. A celebration of Joanne’s life will commence at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 6, 2025 at Cook Memorial Chapel (East Building). In honor of Joanne and in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hand2Hand Ministries. Interment will be at Blain Cemetery.
