Joyce will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 49 years, David Merice, son David and wife Shana Merice Jr., daughter Denise and husband Charlie Maklem, brother Charles “Chuck” Danbury, sister Lois Malott, grandchildren Kayla Merice, Abigail Merice, Dawson Merice and Evan “Richie” Wehrum.
Joyce was the daughter of the late Lewis Jefferson and Edenia Mae Danbury (nee Craig). She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on December 5, 1949.
Joyce enjoyed shopping and spoiling her grandkids as well as her fur babies. She cherished the time spent with family. She was a people person who never met a stranger. She was thought of as a “Second Mom/Mamaw” by many. She will be deeply missed, but we know we will see her in Heaven again one day.
A memorial gathering celebrating Joyce’s life will be held from 1 to 3 PM Saturday, March 10th, at Wyoming Moose Lodge, 2630 Burlingame Ave SW, Wyoming, MI 49509.
In honor of Joyce and in lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Joyce’s memory to American Cancer Society or to a charity of your personal choice.
