Lawrence William Hinds

HINDS – Lawrence William Hinds, age 71, ended his courageous battle against cancer at his home surrounded by his loving family March 6, 2016. He was born in Detroit, MI, on September 3, 1944 the son of William and Dolores (Wright) Hinds. He married Linda Niemczyk at St. Stanislaus Church on October 25, 1968.

Larry is survived by his wife of 47 years, Linda; his son, Mark (Jenni Lamer-Daldos); his daughters, Kelly (Jeffrey) Hawley, Nicole (Michael) Korpi, Christina Barron, Bridget (Nicholas) Schoepf; his brothers, Mark (Joyce) Hinds, Timothy (Bonnie) Hinds; 14 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A Memorial Mass for Lawrence will be held Friday, March 11, 2016 at 11AM at St. Pius X Catholic Church; 3937 Wilson Ave. SW. Interment will take place at St. Stanislaus Cemetery. The family will receive friends and relatives on Thursday, March 10 from 6 to 8 PM at Cook Funeral Home in Grandville, 4235 Prairie St. SW (West building), with a Vigil Prayer Service to follow. The family will also receive guests one hour prior to services on Friday at the church.
