Linda van Hartesveldt, age 79, passed away on Monday, May 4, 2026. She was preceded in death by her parents Frederick and Marjorie van Hartesveldt Jr.; brother, Eric van Hartesveldt. She is survived by her siblings Marcia van Hartesveldt and Fred (Diane) van Hartesveldt; nieces and nephews Nate, Christopher, Kyna, Noah, and Catalina.
Linda had a great interest in all things about fashion. She loved to read both fiction and non-fiction books. Linda had a genuine interest in everyone she met. She will be dearly missed.
Visitation will be held from 9-11 a.m. Friday, May 22, 2026 at Cook Memorial Chapel (East Building), 4235 Prairie St. SW, Grandville, MI 49418. A private family graveside will follow. A celebration of life gathering will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 23, 2026 at St. Paul's United Methodist Church - 3334 Breton Rd. SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49512. Refreshments will be served following the service. In lieu of flowers, consider a memorial contribution to Meals on Wheels.
