Margaret Eleanor Peterson

Margaret Eleanor Peterson, age 87, went to be with her Lord, Sunday, March 13, 2011. She was preceded in death by her husband, Adrian Peterson; her son, Larry Peterson; granddaughter, Jamie Tiemersma; her brothers, Bert, Dan, Harold, Jacob Vander Schuur; and her sisters, Josie Bruinsink, Emma Dykstra, and Gertrude Ensing.

Margaret is survived by her children, Nancy (Tim) Tiemersma, Jerry (Diane) Peterson; her three grandchildren; her brother, John (Betty) Vander Schuur; her sisters-in-law, Margaret Vander Schuur, Ruth (Wayne) Hansen, Dorothy (Roger) Van Harn Lucille Weaver; her special niece and caregiver, Lois Scribner; and many other nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 PM Friday, March 18, at the Cook Funeral Home in Grandville, 4235 Prairie St. SW (west building). Funeral services will be held 11 AM Saturday at the Cook Memorial Chapel (east building), with visitation prior to the service beginning at 10 AM. Rev. Rick Oppenhuizen will be officiating. Interment will be at Pine Hill Cemetery. In honor of Margaret, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
