Margaret Thornton

THORNTON Evans - Margaret Thornton, age 50, of Byron Center, went to be with the Lord, Sunday September 21, 2008. She was preceded in death by her father, Lavern Evans. She is survived by her loving husband of 13 years, Terry; her children Todd and Lindsay; one granddaughter; her mother, Mary Evans; sisters, Shirley Thomas VerPlank and Susan John Quirk; many brothers and sisters-in law and nieces and nephews.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. Friday at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, with Fr. Mike Alber celebrant. Interment will be at Fairplains Cemetery.

The family will receive relatives and friends Wednesday 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Cook, Byron Center, 2067 84th St.
