

Marian (Brandenburger) Muske, age 95 of Grandville, Michigan, went to join her husband, Ken; and daughter, Kenna Gaggin; along with other family and friends June 11, 2024, after a brief illness. Marian, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Marian is survived by her son, Steve (Jackie) Muske of Marietta, GA; and Brian Gaggin (son-in-law), Michigan; along with six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Marian loved her six grandsons Drew (Megan) Gaggin, AZ; Matthew (Pilar) Gaggin, AZ; Nathan (Stacia) Gaggin, Texas; Tyler (Rebecca) Muske, GA; Collin Muske, GA; Brenden (Cassie) Muske, WI. Marian was excited to have three great-grandchildren McKenzie Muske, bonus great-granddaughter, Kylie Weber, GA (Tyler and Rebecca Muske) and Lincoln Muske, WI (Brenden and Cassie). Marian is also survived by her sister, Diana Rogelstand; and brother, Paul (Priscilla) Brandenburger of Ellendale, ND; and many nieces and nephews. Marian joined her parents Albert and Lydia (Goehner) Brandenburger; brothers Alfred, Walter, Elmer, Leroy, and Marvin Brandenbuger; sisters Alice Weiderich, Esther Trauitman, and Bernice Gentry.
Marian attended and graduated from high school in Ellendale, ND In 1946. She received her teaching degree at State Normal and Industrial College, Ellendale, ND in 1950 and master’s degree at Colorado State College, Greeley, Colorado. Marian married Kenneth Muske August 6, 1950, and made Michigan their home. Marian was a retired home economics teacher from Godwin Heights Middle School in Wyoming, Michigan. Marian enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, was an avid sports fan, enjoyed word searches, playing cards, needlepoint, gardening, reading, and volunteering with church. Marian was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Grand Rapids, MI where she taught Sunday school and was an active volunteer in many areas of the church. She was a member of the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League and later a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Jenison, MI where she continued to be active with the church and volunteering.
Funeral Services for Marian will be held 11:30 a.m. Thursday, June 20, 2024, with visitation beginning at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Cross Lutheran Church - 1481 Baldwin St., Jenison, MI. Interment will be at Georgetown Cemetery.
