Marilyn Irene Mohr

Marilyn Mohr, age 86, daughter of Berend (Bert) and Irene Bergmans, died January 5, 2025. She is already missed by her three sons and their wives: David Jeffrey (Jeff) and Joy of Bush, LA, Nathan Berend (Nate) and Carol of Grandville, and Timothy Dale (Tim) and Tracy of Montgomery Village, MD. Also missing Nana are her eight grandchildren: Dave, Jon, Ben, and Bayli; Nathan and Jessica (Andrew) Barnes; and Elizabeth (Vincent) Musto and Rachael; and great-grandchildren Aiden Joseph and Ava Elizabeth Musto. She prayed for each one of them every day. She is also survived by her sister, Millie (Bob) Snyder; many cherished nephews and nieces; and so many other lives whose hearts were touched by hers.

In addition to her parents, her husband of 57 years, Dale, preceded her in death; as well as her sister and brother-in-law, Dort and Frank Breisch; and daughter-in-law, Beth Mohr.

She graduated from East Grand Rapids High School and Blodgett Hospital School of Nursing and practiced as an RN for several years.

Mare and Dale raised five puppies for Paws with a Cause - Mitzi, Rosie, Fergi, Happy, and Penny. She was active at Calvary Church, where she and Dale met. She was also involved in Calvary's Stephen's Ministry for several years.

Visitation with family and friends will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday, January 10, 2025 at Cook Funeral Home (West Building), 4235 Prairie St. SW, Grandville, MI 49418. Funeral service will take place 5 p.m. Saturday, January 11 at Cook Memorial Chapel (East Building), with visitation from 4-5 p.m. prior to service.
