Marion L. Glerum (Hoffman)

GLERUM (Hoffman) Mrs. Marion L. Glerum, age 95 went home to her Savior Saturday, February 1, 2014. Marion was born September 19, 1918 in Grand Rapids, MI to Robert and Pauline (DeYoung) Hoffman. She was a faithful Christian devoted to Jesus Christ, family, and friends and dearly loved by many. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cornelius "Bud" Glerum; infant grandson, Joshua Wilson; brother and sister, Robert (Lorraine) Hoffman, and Mildred (James) Lower; and in laws, Jacob (Helene) Glerum, Michael (Alice) Glerum, and Minnie (Orval) Carls.

She will be deeply missed by her children, Marcia (Steve) Wilson, Dennis (Karla) Glerum, Mary (Nick) Westra, and Karen (Len) Mooi; grandchildren, Elisabeth, Peter (Lyndsay), Tim (Amy), Jon, Andy, Anne (Brandon), Charlie (Lindsey), Ted (Sheela), Julie (Matt), Marian (Brian), Luke, Anna, and Carolyn; 14 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Her family expresses a very special "thank you" to JoAnn Hardie for the years of wonderful, loving care given to Marion.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, 11 AM, at her church, Berean Baptist, 1574 Coit NE, Grand Rapids, with Rev. David Kennedy officiating. Interment will be at Fairplains Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet her family Tuesday from 6-8 PM at the Van Strien-Creston Chapel, 1833 Plainfield NE, and Wednesday from 10 AM until the time of her service at church. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Marion may be made to Berean Baptist Church Missionary Memorial Fund.
