Mary Sue Franklin (Robbins), age 83, went to be with her Lord Saturday, July 23, 2022. Mary was preceded in death by her parents Carmell and Wanda Robbins; first husband, James Horner; second husband, Kenneth Franklin. She will be remembered by her children David (Tammy) Horner and Carma (Greta Billings) Horner; grandchildren Andrew (Casey) Horner and Lindsay (Tyler) Keit; great-grandchildren Cameron Horner, Madison McCleese, and Autumn Von Vorhis; siblings Jimmy Robbins and Linda (Wayne) Rumbel; many nieces, nephews, and friends all over Michigan and Florida.
Sue lived a life fuller than many people. Creativity and artistic pursuits were her passion and often her vocation. She loved spending time with family and friends. She was always up for playing games, talking about good books, cooking and hosting meals, and watching a good movie. She had many interests and could talk to anybody about almost anything; if she couldn't talk about it she loved to learn about it. She always felt a new person could be a new friend.
Visitation with friends and relatives will take place from 12:30 - 1 p.m. Saturday, July 30, 2022 at Cook Memorial Chapel (East building), 4235 Prairie St. SW, Grandville, MI 49418. Immediately following will be a Memorial Celebration of Sue's Life starting at 1 p.m. In honor of Sue and in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Love INC (https://www.loveinc.org/) or Faith Hospice of Trillium Woods (https://faithhospicecare.org/donate/). Interment will be at Crestwood Memorial Cemetery, Grand Blanc, MI. The family welcomes memories and messages in their guest book online at www.cookcaresgrandville.com.
