Mural Lila Charon

CHARON (KAMMEN) Mural Lila Charon, age 95, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, April 18, 2012. She was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, George Charon; her sons, Terry, James and Tom Charon; and her daughter-in-law, Judy. Mural will be lovingly remembered by her children, William (Nancy) Charon, Cheryl Pickerd; her daughter-in-law, Carol (Terry) Wright; 11 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren.

Mural owned and operated Charon Antiques for many years, where she specialized in Moser Glass. She was so passionate about it that she wrote a book about Moser Glass called, Ludwig Moser: King of Glass, published in 1984.

A time for visiting with Mural's family will be held from 2 to 5 PM Sunday, April 22, at Cook Funeral Home in Grandville, 4235 Prairie St. SW (west building). Funeral services will be held 2 PM Monday at Cook Memorial Chapel (east building). Interment will be at Rest Lawn Memorial Park. In honor of Mural, contributions may be made to the Jim Charon Cedar Springs Library Fund or Spectrum Health Hospice.
