Nancy loved and cherished her family and loved spending quality time with each of them – especially her grandchildren. Later in life, she enjoyed shopping and traveling, particularly a trip she and Scott took to Ireland in celebration of their 25th wedding anniversary. She will be deeply missed.
Nancy is survived by her husband of 33 years, Scott Akey; children Tara (Jamey) Mix, Sean Shamblin, Derick Shamblin; grandchildren Myles Mix, Maisie Mix; siblings Tim (Gail) Krygier, Susan Krygier, James (Leinani) Krygier, Gerald Krygier, Kathy McKibben; and many nieces, nephews, extended relatives, and friends.
Nancy is preceded in death by her son, Taylor Akey; parents Gerald and Isabel Krygier; and parents-in-law Mike and Yvonne Akey.
