Ona Wall, age 95, passed away Sunday, December 7, 2025. She was preceded in death by her husband, Don E. Wall; parents Harry and Louise Pappe; brother, Harry James Pappe. She is survived by her son, Rick Lee Wall.
Ona was born in Amber Township, Ludington, Michigan on February 17, 1930. She graduated from Scottville High School and then received her Bachelor of Arts and Masters degree from Western Michigan. She also did additional graduate work at Michigan State and Central Michigan and attended Davenport and Aquinas Colleges. She taught various grades at Grandville High School for 45 years. She was the president of Grand Rapids Business and Professional Women's Association in 1979. Ona was a member of Western Michigan Alumni Association and FOHEC (friends of historic campus) of Western Michigan. She also belonged to the Rental Owners and Real Estate Investors Association and Friends of the Wyoming Library. She was a lifetime member of MEA, MARSP, and KARSP. Her interests include reading, history, and golf.
Per her wishes, cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, consider a memorial contribution to University of Michigan Health - West Foundation Cardiovascular Fund or Kent District Library - for the visually impaired - Wyoming branch.
