

A proud graduate of Corunna High School in 1958, Onalie pursued her calling in nursing, earning her degree from Hurley School of Nursing in 1961. She devoted her career to caring for others, serving as a registered nurse at Wegman Dermatology in Owosso, Michigan, for approximately 15 years. Her compassion and dedication left a lasting impact on those for whom she cared.
On September 10, 1961, Onalie married Terry Baker, beginning a loving union that flourished for over 60 years. Together, they built a life centered on faith, family, and cherished memories. Onalie is survived by her devoted husband, Terry Baker of Jenison, Michigan; children Joel (Karin) Baker of Sparta, Michigan, Jennell (Gary) Boggs of Milford, Michigan, and Jennine (Fred) Smith of Grand Haven, Michigan. She also leaves behind her treasured grandchildren Nicholas Baker of Levering, Michigan, Brady Baker and Liliana Baker of Jenison, Michigan; and Heather King of Warren, Michigan. Additionally, she is survived by her sister, Roxanna (Charles) Miros of Corunna, Michigan.
Visitation will take place from 3-7 p.m. Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at Cook Memorial Chapel, 4235 Prairie St. SW, Grandville. A funeral service will follow 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 15 at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 4201 Burlingame Ave. SW, Wyoming, Michigan. An hour of visitation will precede the service from 10-11 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church’s ReGen Project and the Corunna Educational Foundation-Donald H. Brady Scholarship Fund.
