Patrick Jon Geers

GEERS-Patrick Jon Geers, age 38 of Grand Rapids, passed away suddenly and went into the peace of God on Saturday, October 9, 2010. He is survived by his parents, Harriet Karel of Byron Center and John Geers of Howard City; his sisters Marla Ken Hoekwater and Raechelle Randy Koetje, by his nephew Aaron Hoekwater and nieces Alaina and Audrey Hoekwater whom he adored, his special friend Valerie Danevicz, his dear grandfather Henry Geers and many uncles and aunts who gave him a secure sense of family love, many cherished cousins and his AA family with whom he found sobriety.

A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Thursday at Immanuel Reformed Church, 1300 East Beltline, Grand Rapids. The family will receive relatives and friends Wednesday 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Cook Funeral Home, Byron Center 2067 84th St.
