Penny Van Van Gelderen

She is survived by her children, Rick Cindy Van Gelderen and Kathi Dennis Vissering; six special grandchildren, Ashley, Peter, and Reid Van Gelderen, and Joshua, Hannah, and Matthew Vissering. She is also survived by her mother Betty De Hamer; her brother LeRoy Cook; and nephew David L. Sheri Cook; three sisters, Mary De Graaf, Betty Pres Hopkins, Lois Delnay; and brother Kenneth Delores De Hamer.

She loved and served Calvary Church for many years as a Sunday school teacher, Pioneer Girls leader, Daily Vacation Bible School Leader, in youth ministries and missionary groups, a prayerful supporter and dear friend to many.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at Calvary Church 777 E. Beltline Ave. with Pastor Ed Dobson officiating.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Cook Funeral Home west building 4235 Prairie St. SW in Grandville.

Memorial contributions may be made to Calvary Church or Mission India.
