Phyllis Jean Timm (née Glowacki) was born on January 17, 1932, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, where she grew up and attended Catholic Central, beginning a life deeply rooted in family, faith, and community. In 1953, she married the love of her life, Robert Francis Timm, and together they raised six children in a home that was always full and lively.
After devoting many years to raising her family, she went on to work at Inmont BASF, bringing the same care and dedication to her work that she gave to everything she did. Her faith remained central throughout her life, and she was a longtime parishioner of St. Pius X in Grandville, Michigan. She was also an active member of the American Legion Auxiliary, where she built friendships and stayed connected to those around her.
Her family was the center of her world. She showed her love in a thousand small and thoughtful ways, cooking cabbage rolls, sending holiday cards for every occasion, bringing everyone together for family gatherings, and happily spoiling her grandchildren. She had a sweet, gentle presence and a special way of making everyone feel cherished. The warmth, thoughtfulness, and love she gave her family will always stay with us and continue to inspire us as we raise our own families.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert; parents Adam Glowacki and Severine Zamiara; siblings Dorothy, Elaine, Florence, Ted, and Tom; and son-in-law, Timothy Deubner. She is survived by her six children Gary (Sandy), Dan (Anita), Brian (Kay), Judy (John) Graver, Sharon (Ric) Parent, and Marcia Deubner and her companion, Dale; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews, who will carry her love, traditions, and memories with them always.
Visitation with friends and relatives will take place from 6-8 p.m. Monday, February 9, 2026 at Cook Memorial Chapel (East Building), 4235 Prairie St. SW, Grandville, MI 49418.
