

Raymond was born June 26, 1930 in Martin County, Michigan to Dorothy and Carroll Doxey.
Raymond was a 35-year Journeyman union electrician and member of Local 275 of the IBEW. Raymond worked at many commercial power generating, manufacturing, and pharmaceutical plants throughout his career.
He married the love of his life, Rosalie E. Monschein, July 21, 1951 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Grand Rapids, Michigan. They had one son, David P. Doxey.
Raymond spent many hours doing handyman work and carnivals for St. Pius X Catholic Church of Grandville, MI. He was an avid woodworker. He loved working with his hands. He also liked cutting wood for his wife to paint and was very good at intarsia. Raymond also made wood stands and cases for the Elks club in Lakeland, FL where he and his bride would go during the winter for many years. They were avid polka dancers going at least weekly.
Raymond was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife of 65 years; one brother, Robert Doxey; and one grandson, Rob Thornton.
He is survived by his son, David (Marsha) Doxey; brother, Leroy Doxey; three grandchildren Kathryne (Brian) Mills, Neil (Anna) Doxey , Nicholas Crozier; one great-granddaughter, Ella Mills; and many nieces and nephews.
Raymond was a one-of-a-kind, trusting, loving, and strong family man. He is loved and will be dearly missed.
