Regina V. Gould

GOULD - Regina Gould, born June 3, 1910 in Osceola, PA, the third of eight children born to Jacob and Daisy Van Dusen and raised on a rural farm in Tioga County, PA, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, March 24, 2004 at Metropolitan Hospital in Grand Rapids, MI.

She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Jaffray Rovegno of Wake Forest, NC and Jennifer Gould of Byron Center, MI; her grandchildren, John Robert Rovegno of Albuquerque, NM, and Susan Decker of Raleigh, NC; and her brother James Van Dusen of Palm Coast, FL.

Regina graduated in 1932 from Long Island College Hospital, Brooklyn, NY, and worked as a registered nurse in Brooklyn; at Bridgeport Hospital, Bridgeport, Connecticut; and as a private duty nurse for terminally ill patients in southern Connecticut for the next 40 years.

She resided in Stratford, Connecticut for 60 years and was married for 54 years to Sidney Byron Gould who died in 1992 in Bridgeport, Connecticut.

Regina moved to western Michigan in July 2003 to reside at Byron Center Manor’s Meadow Place.

A memorial service will take place for Regina and Byron at Summerfield Methodist Church in Bridgeport, Connecticut where Regina was a long time member.
