Reynaldo Fontanez Sr.

Reynaldo Fontanez Sr., age 77, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Saturday, October 16, 2021. Colito was preceded in death by his parents Nicolas and Ramona Fontanez; children Raymond Fontanez and Jimmy Deleon. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Nancy Fontanez; children Betty (Arnulfo) Gonzales, Luis Deleon, Rick Deleon, Linda Deleon, Priscilla Deleon, Reynaldo (Felisha) Fontanez Jr., Nicole (Jimmie) Fontanez, Johnnie (Alena) Fontanez; 27 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; many brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Reynaldo “Colito” Fontanez was one of a kind. He was a proud Puerto Rican who loved his honey (Nancy/Mom) for an amazing 44 years, along with his sons/daughters and all his family and friends. He loved everyone who came into contact with him, always willing to help anyone in need with his super big heart. He was a sweet and kind man who always instilled in his children and grandchildren to be our best selves but never ask anybody for anything - only him, because he is our dad/grandpa. He made sure that we always had what we needed and knew that we were loved. He had beautiful relationships with his friends but nothing compares to the relationship he has with all his children and grandchildren. They loved Cito. He always told us amazing stories from his childhood making us all laugh and giving us all his love unconditionally. He was a loving husband, an amazing father, the greatest grandfather, brother, and friend. He fought a long, hard battle with grace and dignity and won because he is with Jesus and no longer in pain. We will never forget the love you displayed to all of us bringing us together as a family and leaving us behind all the beautiful memories that have imprinted all our lives. Fly high, Daddy! God has received an amazing person who will forever be missed. We love you! Keep watching over us like you always have, our angel.

A private visitation with relatives will be held from 6-7 p.m. Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at Cook Funeral Home (West building), 4235 Prairie St. SW, Grandville, MI 49418.
