

Richard Kevin Pitsch, age 65, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, October 1, 2018. He was preceded in death by his parents Delmar and Noraine Pitsch; brother, Denny Pitsch and mother-in-law, Donna Wustman.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 43 years, Patricia Pitsch; children Mike (Jodi) Pitsch, Ben (Jill) Pitsch, Holly (John) Russo, Tracy Pitsch; grandchildren Caden, Madilyn and Aubrey Pitsch, Zachary, Ethan and Alexander Pitsch, Michael, Chase, Dayton and Liberty Russo; father-in-law, Norm Wustman; sister, Nicolet (Jim) Brett; brother, Randy Pitsch; sister-in-law Terri Pitsch; in-laws Pam (Dan) VandenBerg, Joel (Elaine) Wustman, Scott (Julie) Wustman, Gayle (Bruce) VanGoor; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Rick proudly served his country in the United States Army. He enjoyed collecting model trains, antique toys and spending time with his family and his friends in the train and toy collecting communities.
Visitation will be held from 2 - 4 p.m. and 6 - 8 p.m. on Thursday, October 4, 2018 at Cook Funeral Home–Byron Center, 2067 84th St., S.W., Byron Center, MI 49315. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, October 5, 2018 at Second Christian Reformed Church of Byron Center, 7588 Byron Center Ave., S.W., Byron Center, MI 49315 with visitation prior from 10 - 10:45 a.m. with his Pastor Adam Nordyke officiating at the service.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the medical staff at the Meijer Heart Center who cared for Rick for the past eight months.
