She will be lovingly missed by her husband of 45 years, Edward Ellison; her children Jennifer (Matt) Matulaitis, Ryan (Jessica) Ellison, and Justin Ellison; her cherished grandchildren Landon, Graham, and Hailey Ellison; her sisters Debra Goodman and Cynthia McCain; and many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Robin had a deep love for travel, especially to the Caribbean, but nothing compared to the love she had for her family. Her devotion to them knew no bounds, and she found her greatest joy in being a wife, mother, and “Ama." She built lasting and meaningful relationships with her grandchildren, spending time with them every week and ensuring they always felt cherished. She never missed a birthday call, a game, a concert, a graduation, or a moment when they needed her most. Her love was a steady presence, woven into the fabric of their childhoods, leaving them with beautiful memories they will carry forever.
Robin’s kindness, warmth, and unwavering support extended to everyone she met. She had a way of turning even life’s hardest moments into something beautiful, offering laughter, love, and a reminder to cherish every moment. Though our hearts ache in her absence, we find comfort in knowing she is now whole, healed, and home.
A celebration of life will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, March 15, 2025, with visitation beginning at 1 p.m., at River of God Church, 4607 68th Street SW, Byron Center, Michigan 49315.
In lieu of flowers and in honor of Robin, contributions may be made to the STXBP1 Foundation, a cause close to her heart. The family welcomes memories and messages at www.cookcaresgrandville.com in her guestbook online.
