Ronald J. Sweers

1 July, 195514 June, 2021

Ronald James Sweers, age 65, lost his battle with lung cancer and went to be with his Lord on Monday, June 14, 2021. Ron was preceded in death by his parents James and Ruth Sweers. He will be remembered by his wife of 40 years, Susan K. Sweers; daughters Stephanie (Mike) Madden and Melissa Sweers; three grandsons; sisters Linda Phillips and Janice Clancy; nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Ron was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who always loved a good joke. His kind heart, caring soul, and his one-liners will be greatly missed - along with the fact that his sense of humor and personality could change any bad day to a good day. A Celebration of Ron’s Life will take place in the near future, with time and date to be determined. In honor of Ron and in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Dear Sue, Stephanie, Melissa and Family,
I send my deepest condolences for the loss of Ron. Hard to believe it has been close to 40 years ago I met Ron at GR Consumer Credit meetings. He became one of my best friends. Throughout the years we kept in contact and shared “stories”. He was one of those good guys you could always rely on. He will be greatly missed by all. Let me know if I can help out during these times.

Uncle Ron could make any get together fun . His sense of humor , his sarcasm , his quips that could make anyone Crack up made anytime that you were with his special . I know if I was in a bad mood at any family event Uncle Ron could get a smile and a laugh out of me . He will be missed terribly. I know we didn't get together very much the past couple years but I will always carry the good times with me and his laugh will never leave my memory. I love you Uncle Ron ! You are sincerely missed !

So sorry for the passing of a very sweet, caring and funny friend . All of us at 53rd miss his smile and one liners. Every year we were asked to fill out a survey at 53rd. One of the questions was " Who is your best friend at work?" Ron and I chose each other . I will miss him dearly.

Sue, Stephanie & Mike & Boys, Melissa,

Ron was one of the good guys and could always make everyone laugh. That’s how we will always remember him.

May God be with you through these trying times.

There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under the heavens:
a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,
a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,
a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,
a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,
a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,
a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,
a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace
Ecclesiastes 3:1-8

May his memory be eternal

Love - Tom & Grace Madden
