Rosemary Kempker (Harrison)

KEMPKER (HARRISON) Rosemary Kempker, age 80, passed away peacefully, Friday, December 13, 2013, surrounded by family and is now with her Lord in Heaven. She was preceded in death by her late husband Richard Kempker Sr., her parents, Leland Leroy Harrison and Lila Belle Harrison (Burdick), and her brother, Dr. James Harrison.

Rosemary will be lovingly remembered by her children, Thomas Leland Rumler, Mary Lynne (Bern) Zylstra, Joseph James (Linda) Rumler, Gretchen Louise (Brad) Decot, James Edward (Nycole) Rumler; her step-children, Richard Kempker, Jr., Larry Kempker and Suzy Younce; her 14 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; her nieces and nephews; and close friends, Kathy Walters and Marcia Powers. Rosemary loved her family, animals, traveling, reading and garage sales. She was an LPN and loved caring for the babies in Labor and Delivery and helping folks in retirement homes. Rosemary was involved in Lifelong Learners in Allendale and Love Inc of Allendale.

A time for relatives and friends to visit with Rosemary's family will be held from 6 to 8 PM Thursday at Cook Funeral Home in Byron Center, 2067 - 84th St. SW. A Christian memorial service will be held 11 AM Friday, December 20 at Cook Funeral Home in Byron Center, with visitation prior to the service beginning at 10 AM. Pastor Adam Barr will be officiating. In honor of Rosemary, contributions may be made to Gilda's Club or West Michigan Humane Society of Kent County.
