Ruth Edith Belstra

BELSTRA-Ruth Edith Belstra, age 102 of White Cloud formerly of Hudsonville, went to be with Lord, Wednesday, March 6, 2013. She was preceded in death by her husband Howard Belstra and her 7 siblings. She is survived by her son Steve Belstra, daughter-in-law Shelly Belstra; grandchildren, Tara Belstra, Leah Belstra and Steven Belstra; great grandchildren, Hayley Belstra, Annalicia Mejias, Cambria Belstra and her special caregiver Miriam Mejias. Ruth was born and raised on a farm in Hudsonville. She was a strong and independent woman who was still driving at 102. She liked to garden, she enjoyed animals and having her yard sales in the summer. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed caring for others always placing everyone else first. A memorial service will be held 3 pm Sunday at the Cook Memorial Chapel, 4235 Prairie St. SW. (east building). The family will receive relatives and friends for 1 pm to 3 pm Sunday.
