Ruth VanderPloeg Zondervaan

VANDERPLOEG - Ruth VanderPloeg Zondervaan, age 95 of Byron Center went to be with her Lord, Tuesday, December 8, 2009. She was preceded in death by her husband William VanderPloeg, son Bernie and son-in-law Alverne Compagner. She is survived by her 2 daughters, Hilda Compagner and Tena Doug Phillips; daughter-in-law Shelia Butch Nordhof; her grandchildren Tim Paula Compagner, Laurie Randy Hilbrand, Jodi Tom VerHulst, Bill VanderPloeg, Mike Holly VanderPloeg, Jennifer Wilson, and Meredith Allen; great grandchildren Aaron, Justin and Ella Compagner, Jake and Jared Hilbrand, Amanda and Nicole VerHulst, Morgan Wolfer, Victoria Allen, Reese and Penny VanderPloeg.

The family would like to give a special thank you to the staffs of Byron Center Manor and the Hospice of Michigan, especially Sue and Lakesha for their loving care and support.

Funeral Service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday at the Cook Funeral Home, Byron Center, 2067 84th St. with Pastor Dan Mouw officiating. The family will receive relative and friends Friday 7 to 9 p.m. at the Cook Funeral Home, Byron Center. Interment will be at Winchester Cemetery.
