
She was preceded in death by her parents Edith and Oscar Valk, her brother Oscar Valk Jr. and brother-in-law Jack Kloostra.
She is survived by her children Anita Valk and Jonathan Valk and fiancAC.e Autumn Stevens; grandson Ritchie Valk; brothers and sisters Richard Patricia Valk, Annetta Carl Kerkstra, Evelyn Kloostra, Wilma Gary Huizenga, Dorothy Richard Haaksma and Beverly Kloostra; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Susan loved music, singing in the Gospel Tones sextet from Hanley CRC, with her sisters and brother-in-law in the Choraliers and also with her sisters as the Valk Sisters.
The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 28th at Heritage Christian Reformed Church.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Cook Funeral Home, 2067 84th St SW in Byron Center.
Memorial contributions may be made to Mel Trotter Missions or Heritage CRC.
