Terry Edward Larson

Terry E. Larson, age 65, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, August 27, 2011. He was born on March 15, 1946 in Grand Rapids to Alvin and Elizabeth Larson. Now he is at peace and by their side along with his sister, Elsie Claflin, who preceded him in death.

He graduated from Kentwood High School in 1964 and shortly after joined the Army where he reached the rank of Sergeant. After leaving the Army, he went to work for Kirkhof Manufacturing later transferring to Roman Manufacturing until he retired in 2006. Since retirement, he has spent winters in Eustis, Florida, returning to Wyoming to spend his summers.

Leaving behind to cherish his memory are his brothers, Pete (Carol) Larson of Wyoming, Joe (Ann) Larson of Dorr, Gary (Barb) Larson of Middleville, sisters Joan (Fritz) McConnon of Clarksville, Karen (Jim) Baker of Allendale, many nieces and nephews, as well as a special friend who shared his love of horses, Deb Kasperlik.

As he wished, cremation has taken place. Visitation will be one hour prior to a memorial service being held on Saturday, September 10, 2011, 11 a.m. at Cook Funeral Home, 4235 Prairie Street, S.W., Grandville, Michigan, where family and friends can share memories of Terry.

Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider The American Cancer Society or Helen DeVos Children's Hospital-Child Life.
