Terry Jay Utting

Terry was a passionate sports fan who especially loved NASCAR, Detroit sports teams, Jenison High School athletics, and the Michigan Wolverines. He was a private man who left a lasting impression on all who knew him through his quiet strength and loyalty. Above all, Terry’s family is deeply proud of the life he built and the love he so generously shared.

Terry was preceded in death by his parents Norman and Doris Utting. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Joni Utting; children Erin Lee, Lindsay (Ryan) Curtis, and David Utting; brothers Randy (Shari) Utting and Rick (Holly) Utting; grandchildren Kelsie Curtis, Logan Arnold, Hunter Arnold, Jackson Arnold; great-granddaughter, Maisie White; and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

A memorial visitation with friends and relatives will be held from 6-8 p.m. Friday, February 6, 2026 at Cook Memorial Chapel (East Building), 4235 Prairie Street SW, Grandville, MI 49418. A memorial celebration of Terry’s life will commence 10 a.m. Saturday, February 7, 2026 at Cook Memorial Chapel (East Building).
