Vivian M. Brown Lilly

BROWN - Vivian Marie Brown Lilly, age 81 of Byron Center, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer and into the loving arms of Jesus, Wednesday, March 28, 2001. She was preceded in death by her first husband Homer R. Lilly and her second husband Edward H. Brown; her mother Alwilda Thiel Drier; her father Joseph E. Drier; and her brother Robert Drier. She is survived by her daughter Ruth Fred Slager of Gun Lake; son Daryl Sallie Lilly of Byron Center; grandchildren, Mary Jim Baumbach, Jim Deb Slager, Doug Cheri Slager Mike Kim Slager, Steve Joyce Blood, Cathy Dan Rietsma, Shelly Kalei Andrade; 18 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; sister-in-law Marge Drier; brothers-in-law Lyman Kay Lilly, Elwin Harriet Brown, Bob Helen Brown; step-children, Chuck Kathy Brown, Joe Sandy Brown, Dick Geri Brown, Ann Tom Scovel, Mary Wilkenson, Pat Jack Zwaska, Olive Brown; 21 step-grandchildren; 9 step-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. from the Byron Center United Methodist Church, 2490 Prescott SW, with Rev. William Doubblestein officiating. The family will meet with relatives and friends Thursday 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, the American Diabetes Association or the Charity of One's Choice.
