

Wayne Robert Beld, age 71 of Byron Center, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Tuesday, June 19, 2018. He was preceded in death by his parents Howard and Bernice Beld; his in-laws Lyman and Kay Lilly and brother-in-law, Lonny Lilly.
He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Mary Joan (Lilly); his children Michael (Sonia) Beld and Jodi Kay (David) Krzywos; grandchildren Kaitlin, Alexa and Nicholas Beld, Christian, Max and Brenden Krzywos; his sister Barbara (Leslie) Giese; sister-in-law, Judith Lilly; several nieces and nephews; dear friends Dave and Sherri Blickley; long-time doctor, Dr. Tobolic; the Lemmen Holton team, Bethany and the team of Faith Hospice, many friends and loving church family.
Wayne proudly served his country in the US Army. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend. Wayne loved being outdoors, all things family, B.C. Bulldog football and volleyball, the Lions, car races at Berlin and Sunday NASCAR on TV. He loved to help others behind the scenes. He served as Deacon and Elder at Woodhaven Reformed. He liked to surprise Mary Jo with thoughtful deeds. Wayne was a big guy with an even bigger heart for God and others.
The funeral service will be held 11 am Saturday, June 23, 2018 at Woodhaven Reformed Church, 3959 68th St., Byron Center, MI. The family will receive relatives and friends Friday from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at the Cook Funeral Home, Byron Center, 2067 84th St and one hour prior to services Saturday at church.
