
He was preceded in death by his parents Florence and Francis Gifford Sr.; and his brother Ralph.
Wes will be greatly missed by his wife of 63 years Annette Stapel Gifford; children, Linda Gifford, Ron Lena Gifford, and Vicki Keith Kaniewski; grandchildren, Ashley and Robby Robinson, Britni and Jordon Kaniewski, Dan Blanca Gifford; great grandchildren, Alexandra and Daniel Gifford; sisters and brothers, Kate Felker, Betty Medema, Maxine Frank Riley, Bud Bonita Gifford, Bob Barb Gifford and Clarence Lorna Gifford.
Wes had retired from General Moters after 38 years of service.
He was a member of the D W Cassard American Legion Post 208 and was proud to have served his country with the US Army during WWII.
The funeral service will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at the Cook Memorial Chapel 4235 Prairie St. SW - east building with his grandson David Gifford officiating.
Interment will be in Rosedale Memorial Park.
Relatives and friends may meet his family Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
