William J. Fonger, was born on December 27, 1959 and passed away unexpectedly on November 29, 2020 after a brief illness. William graduated from Wyoming Park High School and received his Bachelor of Arts degree in percussion from Aquinas College. He enjoyed being a drummer in various local bands. He was preceded in death by his father, James W. Fonger. He is survived by his mother, Gail Fonger; sisters Janet (John) Dillaman and Sondra (David) Lee; girlfriend, Janet Chaffee; four nephews, three nieces; four great-nephews; three great-nieces; his aunt, Sandra Fonger; and many cousins and friends.
A private family service will be held followed by a Celebration of Life at a later date. Memorial gifts may be sent to the Michigan Chapter of Alzheimer’s Association.
