William Maynard Hundley

HUNDLEY William Maynard Hundley passed away on Sunday, September 6, 2015. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Lois (Bosse). He leaves behind his 3 children, Terri (Larry) Edema, Jeffrey (Neva) Hundley and William (Jenny) Hundley; 7 grandchildren, Tyler, Alex and Haylie Edema, Jeffrey, Jr. and Maxwell Hundley, Grace and Madeline Hundley; siblings Linda (Doug) Magoon, JoAnn (Odell) Wells, Sue Maderic and Rick (Bonnie) Israel; his sisters-in-law, Marie Anderson, Carole Carter, Paula Hundley; Lois' brother, Wayne (Ana) Bosse; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He bore much grief in his life as he was preceded in death by his parents, Ruth and Orel Hundley; Lois' parents, Fred and Rylla Bosse; siblings Chester, Howard, Terry, Winnie, Harry, Dewey, and Dan Hundley.

Maynard was an avid athlete, coach and friend to all who knew him. He was given the gift of life from a heart donor on February 10, 2003 - heart #527. Maynard was a Past President of SKRA and a Republican Delegate for Wyoming.

The family wishes to thank, Dr. Richard Switzer, the University of Michigan transplant team, Dr. David Langholz, Dr. Richard McNamara, the staff at Spectrum Heart Failure Clinic and the Spectrum Health Hospice Care team. Throughout the years that Maynard had heart difficulties, the staff at Meijer Heart Center, seventh floor, took amazing care of him.

A time for relatives and friends to visit with Maynard's family will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM Thursday at Cook Memorial Chapel in Grandville, 4235 Prairie St. SW (east building). Funeral services will be held 1 PM Friday, September 11, at Cook Memorial Chapel (east building). Rev. Tom Bos will officiate. Interment will be at Winchester Cemetery.
