Helen Rawson Campbell, age 91, passed away on March 17, 2015 at the Asante Three Rivers Medical Center in Grants Pass.
Helen was born on March 7, 1924 at Birch Creek, Utah. She was one of eight children born to Arthur E. and Della E. Rawson. She grew up in North Ogden, Utah until 1941 when her family moved to Southern California. In 1942 she married Grant J. Campbell. They were married for 67 years when Grant passed away in 2009.
Helen is survived by three children: Elaine Rigby, Debra Moon and David Campbell. She has 18 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren. She had a very happy and fulfilling life.
She went to school in North Ogden and Ogden, Utah, and attended a Junior College in Southern California. Helen went back to school and completed an Associates of Arts Degree at Golden West Junior College, Westminster, California in 1974.
Helen loved music. She was a great singer and storyteller. She loved parties and visiting with friends and relatives. She also loved traveling. She took many trips to Hawaii, parts of the U.S., Europe and Russia during her lifetime. Helen enjoyed reading books. She wrote some very good poetry and stories of her own.
Helen was a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 27th at 2 pm at the Cave Junction Church of Latter-Day Saints. Casket Bearers are son-in-law, Charles Rigby, granddaughter’s husband Dane Stuart, and grandsons Brant Rigby, Vardan Rigby, David Oman and Scott Campbell. Honorary Casket Bearers are son, David Campbell and grandsons Damon Campbell, Brady Campbell, Grant Campbell, Darren Campbell, Scott Campbell, Tom Campbell, and Alex Campbell.
