

Ida Louise Hollowell, 93, joined her husband Kenneth Hollowell in their heavenly home on October 24, 2023 in Grants Pass, OR. Known by her family and friends as Louise, she was born August 16, 1930 in Maryhill, WA to Melville and Marie Cooper.
Louise was wed to Kenneth Hollowell on June 8, 1952 in Grants Pass, OR. They raised three daughters and enjoyed 63 years of marriage before Ken’s passing in 2015.
Louise had an infectious smile and was well loved by those that knew her. She enjoyed tending her garden and watching it blossom with flowers and vegetables. Louise could often be found in the kitchen creating one of her well-loved recipes or in her craft room working on any number of projects. She enjoyed ceramic creations, toll painting, cards decorated with rubber stamp scenes, crocheting, and sewing. Louise found great joy in leading Sunday school at her church where their family attended. Her family cherishes memories of playing board games, filling the kitchen with laughter, and snacking on her famous Party Scramble Mix during Christmas Eve celebrations. Louise spent her final years residing at Oak Lane Assisted Living & Memory Care where she was previously employed as head cook for a time in her early years.
Louise is survived by her three daughters Linda Dexter and husband Steve of Grants Pass, OR, Terri Haines and husband Roger of Marsing, ID, and Julie Giles and husband Steve of Roseburg, OR. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild on the way.
Memorial service will be held on Saturday November 11th, 2023 at 1pm at Grants Pass Missionary Baptist Church, 2200 Merlin Rd, Grants Pass, OR 97526.
