Alice Jones

Alice Faye Jones , 60, of Grapevine, Texas , passed away on Thursday, December 19, 2019. She was born on March 28, 1959 in Fort Worth, TX. Alice graduated from Trimble Tech in 1977 and later received a business degree from Mansfield Business School.

Alice had a passion for the arts! In her younger years, she was a gymnast and dancer. She later would move on to modeling in her late teens and early 20s. She spoke several different languages including Sign language, Spanish and French, and even thought of becoming an international interpreter.

She spent her life as a humanitarian to all who needed help. Her time sitting on the city commissioner's board and work for the Fort Worth Police department aided her in assisting families to take on CPS to regain guardianship of their children, individuals seeking asylum and legal citizenship in the states, along with the Texas school board and education system.

Alice had a heart of gold and was a huge role model in many young adolescents lives. She was understanding but stern and wouldn't think twice about helping troubled youth find their paths on this journey. She believed the youth were the future and the bridge to a better tomorrow.

Even with all these great accomplishments, Alice's one main love was being a mother. She would later be deemed Mother Awesome for all the remarkable qualities she possessed, the fun energy she contributed and the love that naturally radiated from her laughter and smile.

Alice was a devout Christian who loved worshiping God, singing gospels and spreading his word. Her faith and love for God was a testament to the strength, love and guiding light He provides to us all. Alice was never afraid to do what was right because she lived by God's word and trusted in him. She was a member at Grapevine Church of Christ for the last nine years where she was beloved by all who knew her.

Alice's hobbies included reading, writing poetry, listening to music, attending concerts and movies, playing Call of Duty on her PS4 and enjoying the company of her loved ones and friends.

She was preceded in death by: M.T. Jones- Father, Martha Jones- Mother, Maxine Jones- Sister, James Jones- Brother and Vera Moss- Sister.

She is survived by one son, Adonis Jones age 40, two daughters, Brittany Jones age 37 and Amber Thompson age 34 and two grandchildren along with Alice's younger brother, Mike, and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 6:00-8:00pm, Friday, December 27, 2019 at Foust and Son Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be 10:00am, Saturday, December 28, 2019 at Foust and Son Funeral Home.

Burial will follow at Rocky Mount Cemetery in San Augustine, TX
