FORT WORTH -- Bobbie Ruth Long Norman was 81 years old when the dear Lord Jesus Christ called her home Sunday, Nov. 9, 2014. Service: 10 a.m. Thursday in J.E. Foust & Son Funeral Directors Chapel in Grapevine with Dr. Gene Krieg officiating. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at J.E. Foust & Son. Bobbie was born in Fort Worth on Jan. 7, 1933. She was the daughter of Carl and Clara Long of Grapevine. She sang solo gospel songs for 48 years in Bible revivals her husband, Brother Bill Norman, preached. In those 48 years, she taught the children from 6 to 10 years old the word of God while Brother Norman was preaching the word of God. During those revival meetings, the Lord brought a harvest of 3,700 souls. Bobbie was preceded in death by her parents; and two uncles, Clarence Long and Olin Long of Grapevine. Survivors: Her loving husband of 62 years, Brother Bill Norman; son, Jeffery A. Norman of Weatherford and his children, Amanda Lee Snyder, Brittney Nicole Cortez and Andy Norman; son, Wesley C. Norman of Ennis and his children, Candice Norman and Maggie Norman; and great-grandchildren by Brittney Cortez, Ashley, Kyle and Abraham.
