

Visitation will be from 12 -2pm, Thursday, November 3rd at J.E. Foust & Son Funeral Home in Grapevine.
Charles was born in Wellington, TX to Charles Edward Jackson & Cleo Tennison Jackson on July 30, 1921. He went to school at Grapevine High School. Charles married Eva Dee Rogers on October 21, 1949 in Grapevine. He worked as a mail carrier for United States Postal Service for 25 years, being the first letter carrier for the City of Grapevine. Charles was a veteran of World War II serving in the Air Force and was awarded several medals. He was involved in the North Texas Clock & Watch Association, The Grapevine Historical Society, & the Grapevine Church of Christ. Charles was an avid fisherman and professional tinkerer with an expertise in gadgets.
He is preceded in death by: his wife, Eva Dee Jackson; his parents, Charles and Edith Jackson; his sister, Darlene Lanfer; and brother, Carroll Jackson.
Charles is survived by: two sons and daughters-in-law, Roger & Anne Hardin and Ken & Mary Jackson; four grandchildren, Micah Jackson, Mabrie Jackson Burgett, Andrew Hardin and Elizabeth Hardin; and six great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Andrew Hardin, Jeff Rogers, Jason Burgett, Boaz Bryant, Paul Rupert & Tony Gallegos.
Pastor Mark Jobe will conduct a private entombment following the viewing.
If desired, memorials may be given to The Grapevine Church of Christ.
Charles' family wishes to extend sincere thanks to Ruth Trumbull, Chuck & Mary Bloomberg and neighbors Bennet & Fiona Gross, Jill Voelkel and Patty Zopfi for their love and assistance during Charles’ latter years.
