My heartfelt sympathy to Jenny’s husband and children .  May God bring comfort to your heartache.  I volunteered with Jenny  many times at VBS and other things at Whites Chapel and Gatehouse.   She always had an encouraging word, a laugh and a big smile for everyone.    I just learned that she has claimed her heavenly reward and is not on earth doing day to day life with her precious family and closest friends.   I know she is with you in ways we will never truly understand until we are in heaven too.  May God Bless and Keep you close.

Gary, we cherish our memories with you and Jenny during our newlywed years. She was always up for a fun San Antonio adventure. Jenny was the perfect partner-in-crime as she agreed that any trip to North Star Mall must begin with a fresh, warm cookie.  The tradition continued in Watertown at Salmon Run Mall with Dillard in tow. I remember the day I met Jenny like it was yesterday: Army physician spouse welcome brunch.  She introduced herself, giggled and said that she was enjoying getting to know her new roommate, having been married for maybe 2 or 3 weeks. I weasled my way to her side of the room so that we could talk more and I’m so glad I did!  Brent and I both loved Jenny.  I will hold her memory in my heart forever and I selfishly mourn the time I won’t spend in her light.  We lift up your family and join you in thanksgiving for the life of your precious Jenny.

She made me feel loved and supported always.  My life was better for having known her.  I have many wonderful memories of our days in Country Walk.

Reading the memories on this website made me smile and tear up at the same time. All are true! Jenny always had a kind word and a cute giggle.  Speaking at Gary and Jenny’s wedding, I remember talking about how they were buddies/friends - this would ensure a successful marriage.  Jenny was always there for Gary - through his travels in the military and finally residency.  She lovingly raised their two children Mason and Lauren, was the house CEO, business partner to Gary, devoted Christian, teacher, and volunteer at her church and friend and supporter to many organizations.  We all love Jenny and will miss her greatly!

The Waddells have treated me like a member of the family, and Jenny has been there for me like a mother. After my father passed, I spoke to her often. She didn’t try to give much advice during that time, she just listened. I think she knew that’s exactly what I needed.  Her spirit, kindness, and laughter will be missed. 

I’ve known Jenny for 20 years and she was always such a bright light. Especially during my first time living in Texas. Even as my family moved away, we stayed in touch through Christmas cards and Facebook. When we moved back to Southlake 3 years ago, Jenny reached out and was so kind. She invited me to lunch, volunteer and get involved with an incredible group of woman in Bible study. Most of all, I will miss my yoga partner more than I have the words to say. Jenny was always so sweet and such a breathe of fresh air. We can find comfort in knowing she is looking down on each and every one of us, guiding our hearts to make decisions led by kindness.

Jenny brought such light into the room.  I got to know Jenny through our Wednesday morning Companions in Christ group. Jenny embodied wisdom, joy, kindness, humility, and strength.  I learned so much from her.  My prayers are with her sweet family whom she loved so much.  Her light will shine on!

I met Jenny about six years ago.  I am so blessed that God saw fit to bring her into my life.

When I think of Jenny I think of her infectious laugh, her humble spirit, her deep caring for others, her immense love for God, and her all-encompassing love for her family.

Jenny was a special gift to all who knew her.  She will be missed.

We sure love our Aunt Jenny, she was so incredibly wonderful in every way.  I will forever cherish the time we spent together hanging out on the couch eating tv trash and playing with the dogs. She was always there for us, always positive, always helping others. She is dearly missed, we vow to carry on her altruistic nature as we navigate life without her.

Simply one of the most amazing people I’ve ever met. Incredible mother above all. I didn’t have a very large supporting crowd outside the usual church attendees for my Baptism. But Ms. Jenny and Lauren  made sure they were in attendance during that day and I’m forever grateful for it. You won’t find a more caring person, I promise you that. All my Love goes to the Waddell family in this time.

Dearest Jenny, you have been a light on my path of spiritual inquiry. Your depth of understanding of scripture and life have impacted me in ways I’m just now understanding. Dearest Jenny ~
	Years ago, Tom Stovell (my father) said to me, “You know, Society will tell you that the Oak tree is the symbol of strength and endurance.  Society will tell you that you should raise your children to be Oaks and that those Oaks will become the pillars of Society.”
“Well,” Tom said, “I respectfully disagree.  I think we should all be Aspen trees.”
I ask Dad what he meant and this was his reply:
“An Aspen has but one purpose in its life and that is to ensure that the Pines in the forest of life grow straight and tall.  The Aspen cradles the young pine seedlings as they stretch toward the sky and never fails as the winter winds of adversity blow through their branches.  Their job is never done until the whole forest of Pines is straight, tall and safely guarding nature below.”
Jenny, you were an Aspen to every person that has known you.  The gift you have given each of us by your examples can only be honored by our duplication in our own families.  
There is no gift we can give you that could mirror what you have given us but please accept our enclosed gratitude with a huge hug!

I was blessed to become a friend of Jenny’s through Chapel Hill.  The years of friendship, laughter and times we shared will always mean the world to me.  I will miss your beautiful smile, precious laugh and your generous heart.


Jenny was instrumental in forming our camp program for Summer Santa. She was the Director of camp placements and with her volunteers,  counselors in the school districts, and charitable agencies  placed children from NE  Tarrant County into week long camps in the summer.  This helped children be kids and make memories that last a lifetime or change their lives. 
Jenny changed and touched many lives in our community. I had the honor of serving with her for the last ten years. We will miss her greatly and just know she left a huge place in all of our hearts. 

Jenny was a shining light who shared her bright smile with me on Wednesday mornings in our Companions in Christ group at Whites Chapel UMC.  Her humor and her depth of wanting to study God's word was infectious. We laughed, we cried together and loved each other's company.  We have a huge hole in our group now that only Jenny could fill.  

Jenny brought so much joy to my life! I am a lucky girl to have called her my friend for so many years.  I cherish memories from pokeno, supper club, Chapel Hill, passing out candy on Halloween, fishing...well, the kids and dads fished while we had our nails done :), celebrating our birthday month...oh, how I will miss my friend. Gary, Mason, Lauren--I love y'all <3 

I was introduced to Jenny through her daughter, Lauren, and only saw and spoke with her, very briefly. Others may have known Jenny better than I, and for a longer period of time; but the one word that comes to my mind is: graceful. 

My sweet friend, Jenny, I love you.  You were one of my first friends at Chapel Hill.  Our girls became friends, and we were then inseparable.  I remember the time that you helped me paint my bathroom.  I messed up so many times, and you came to the rescue!  You kept me so close when Jase passed a little over a year ago.  You gathered all of the information and held me together!  True friends, forever.

Even though I did not know Jenny long, I have been touched by the strength of her faith and the kindness of her spirit.  God bless her and her loved ones.

God graced our study group with Jenny.  Her infectious laugh, true humility, sense of humor, and inspirational  humble caring spirit became a light of sunshine for all who were blessed by her presence. It has been  a wonderful gift to have had her on our journey through life. She will always be remembered as a blessed soul who blessed others.

God placed Jenny and I together as a teaching team at Chapel Hill Children's School 20 years ago.  Since then, we have laughed together, cried together, prayed together and supported each other through life's joys and trials.
I will miss knowing that she is there....with a smile, a giggle, a word of comfort and understanding, or a hug.  I love you sweet Jenny.

You will forever be in so many of our hearts. You were an amazing person serving God and others. You were the most, humble, kind, sassy, fun person... you could make anyone feel so incredibly at home. Your heart was deep. You loved God and made a big impact on so many women at Gatehouse! I know you are walking on the streets of gold in heaven right now. Love you & miss you. 

Jenny was an amazing person. We bonded over the years during our fight through breast cancer. We’d see each other at yoga and lean on each other in the moments before or after class. She’d always know what to say to prop me up even when she was having a particularly bad day. We found comfort in sharing stories about our children because they kept us strong. I will miss her encouraging words and fighting spirit. May the family find peace in knowing how fiercely she loved to speak of you.

Jenny and I shared our yoga practice together for seven years.   She is not only a part of a class, she is one the brightest parts of my yoga family.  Her thoughtfulness and generosity  combined with her honesty and strength makes her friendship a gift I will forever cherish in my heart.  I wanted to share one of hundreds of memories I have of Jenny's smile, laughter and sharp wit.  This is our pajama yoga class.  Jenny, of course, is the bright smile front and center.


Jenny was one of those rare individuals who brightened a room with her kind energy. Though I only really knew her through the yoga studio, her warm smile and thoughtful conversation always brightened my day. I will definitely miss her presence and I pray her family finds peace knowing her beautiful spirit touched so many deeply. 

Such a sweet lady who is gone too soon!  I'll miss seeing Jenny at Yoga and church where she would always brighten my day.  My deepest condolences to her family.

Jenny was a beloved  member of our yoga family at Divine Center of Yoga and she will be missed. She practiced next to me over these past few years, always with a friendly smile and a charming demeanor. My deepest condolences to her family.
