Sarah Cooper Campbell, 72, of Arlington, TX, peacefully passed away at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas on Wednesday morning, February 11, 2026. Sarah was a woman of strong faith, who loved Jesus, her family, friends and community. Sarah was born in Miami, Oklahoma on July 20, 1953, to Victor Cooper and Donnie Cooper and was the youngest of four children. Most of her life was spent in Waco and Dallas, TX where she graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in 1971. Sarah was a gifted and creative art student, and a member of the Woodrow Wilson Sweethearts Drill Team. She then went on to attend Baylor University in Waco where she was a member of the Athenians Service Organization and graduated in 1975.
Sarah then married her high school sweetheart, Tom Reavis, in 1975 and soon became the proud mother of three boys, Ben, Logan and Cullen Reavis. Once the boys were a little older, she returned to her artistic roots and began working in the graphic arts department at Tarrant County College in Hurst, TX. While working on campus, she started to foster a new passion for teaching and began a career that spanned more than twenty years in education.
She found love again and married Raymond “Skip” Campbell III in June of 2001. This gained her four bonus children, Dana (Goza), Ray, Tom and Ben Campbell. Sarah soon rebranded herself as “Tootsie” as she embraced the grandparent lifestyle without taking the name. Tootsie was the loving grandmother to 17 grandchildren and took tremendous pleasure from watching them all grow. Having all the families come visit their home in Green Mountain Falls, CO and hosting them for holidays were some of her favorite times.
Sarah is remembered and loved by all for her quiet strength, selflessness, creativity, faith and hospitality.
