

Visitation: 4 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday March 29, 2022 at the chapel of J.E. Foust Funeral Home, 523 S Main St. Grapevine.
Service: 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 30, 2022 at the funeral home.
Interment: 1:15 p.m. Wednesday, Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, Dallas. (Lane 2)
Memorials: Should friends desire, memorials may be given to Mission Arlington, 210 W South St, Arlington, TX 76010 or the Humane Society of North Texas, 1840 East Lancaster Ave., Fort Worth, TX 76103.
Shirley was born on April 30, 1930, in Chicago, IL. She was a loving and devoted wife, sister, mother and especially grandmother. She graduated in 1948 from Bristol High School, and was a 1952 graduate of Central Connecticut Teacher’s College in New Britain, CT. She began her teaching career in Terryville, CT and later in West Hartford. Shirley always had a passion for traveling and applied to teach overseas. From 1961 to 1963, she taught in eastern France, London, and Germany, and traveled extensively throughout the Middle East and Europe. While in Germany, she met and married her husband of 47 years, Richard T. Lawrence. After returning to the states, she settled in Euless, TX and began teaching English at Martin High School in Arlington in 1983. She retired from teaching in 1996. Shirley was an avid reader, enjoyed classic movies, and loved spending time with her granddaughter, Hope.
Survivors: Daughter, Beth Lawrence Paschall, North Richland Hills; granddaughter, Hope Paschall, North Richland Hills; and brother, Donald Titus, Bristol, Conn.
