Spencer Lee Sunstrum, 59, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 22. Spencer was a beloved husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and grandfather. He was an active member of his men’s group, Band of Brothers (BOBs). His passion for TCU began as a member of the football and track teams and continued on for the rest of his life.
Spencer is survived by his wife of 26 years, Traci; daughters, Sloane (Dustin) and Sutton (Andrew); son, Spencer (Cindy); parents, Robert and Patricia Sunstrum; brothers, Sunny and Scot; sisters, Sheri and Steffani; and grandson, Stafford.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1PM on Friday, June 28 at White’s Chapel United Methodist Church, in Southlake. A reception will be held immediately following the service.

Spencer’s 2018 New Year’s Resolution was to support Police Officers by buying their breakfast, lunch, or dinner at every encounter he had. This foundation supports injured police offers and their families. 100% of every donation will go directly towards assisting Fort Worth Police Officers.

As Spencer grew into his faith, he also took every chance to cultivate new and old relationships. This foundation supports at risk young teenagers with mentorship and positive influences. He recognized the importance of a strong father figure and the impact that relationships can have. This organization was founded by one of Spencer’s fellow BOBs (Band of Brothers). 100% of every donation will go directly towards supporting this mentorship program towards at risk youth.
