You have been my hero these past 55 years.  Your Mekatronics machines (oversewing, rounder-backer, speed nip, RB7, Ultrabind, MekaCase, EZCut, MD17, SpeedNip, Mekabind, & software-ABLE) moved an industry from handwork to automated production.  
How to describe you-smart, handsome, talented, hardworking, dedicated, loving, funny, athletic, brave, honest, steadfast, strong-a perfect friend.  
Stories that define you
When Deborah was brain damaged in birth, you & Gloria would not give up on her despite the advice of doctors.  You created machines to exercise her. Gloria & you worked with Deborah to enable her to live a full, productive life where she can share her Joy, her laugh, her humor, a reflection of all the love that you filled her with. 
As an Israeli freedom fighter, you designed machine guns that would not shoot the propeller off the small planes the fledgling nation had, & you drove the family sedan behind enemy lines in secret missions
As a young man you qualified for the Israeli Olympic track team
When you suffered a stroke that damaged your left arm & leg, you left a US hospital with leg braces & pills that would sedate a horse.  Indomitable, you went to China where alternative medical practices such as acupuncture, cupping & massage let you come home free of pain pills & braces.
You played the mandolin in Greenwich Village with Pete Seger.
You wind surfed in the Sound of Port Washington.
Your played tennis against Andre Agassi--when he was young.
You smoked cigars--were overweight, before Gloria tamed you with vitamins & natural additives that gave you- "the most expensive urine".
You stood by Gloria when she fell ill & sang to her at her graveside.
Not a religious man, you were befriended by a group at the local synagogue where you attended morning prayers.
You learned from Gloria to always focus on the positive, to never complain, & trust in a God that you were unsure of.
I will miss you, you will always be with me.
Not Goodbye-So Long - Friend :)

Jack was one of the most determined persons I ever knew.  He never gave in to his physical limitations and fought to overcome any obstacles placed in his path.  I am proud that he considered me a friend.  He was also a remarkable engineer and achieved a level of success not matched by many.  Gloria and he will be missed.
