I was surprised and saddened to hear of Jordan's passing.  We were friends LONG ago (1982).  After college, I had written a lot of music.  Jordan and I played some of it together.  We hung out as well.

I was listening to some old recordings and thought of him and thought of contacting him.  It is very sad he passed.  

I would post a song of him and I playing and singing but it is barely audible.  Too bad.

I couldn't believe it when I went to my brother-in-law's funeral in Great Neck Long Island.  There he was; Jordan Kushner at the wake. 
 The coffin was open and there he was laying down as pale as can be. 
I thought it was just a prank or a joke and that he would get up.   But instead he was dead as a doornail.  I was in disbelief that he actually passed away. It was very confusing why he would pass away or why he would be dead at the age of 61.  May God bless him and may He rest in peace.

One of my early memories of my friendship with Jordan and Maya came on this cold night of Feb 7, 2009.  They came up to a frozen hilltop to see a comet in my telescope.  Jordan and Maya were blissed out to see the fuzzy little thing in the sky.  For many years after that, we shared astronomy outings, and many chats over beer and dinner.  He loved Maya dearly, and everything he did was to make their marriage a better one.  He was always ready with a joke and friendship.  A good man.

I saw him recently. Welcome together  for a meeting up. I'm glad we had dinner together in Dec. My heart is with him and Maya.
