Patricia Ann Weiner

Patricia Ann Weiner, 83, of Palm Beach Gardens, FL passed away peacefully on December 21, 2015. Pat was born in New York, NY to Herman Baker and Fae Rosenbaum Baker. She attended the Calhoun School and graduated from Syracuse University cum laude. A long-time resident of Great Neck, NY before relocating to Palm Beach Gardens, FL, Pat was an assistant editor at the Great Neck Record, editor of the weekly newspapers, The Westbury (L.I.) Times as well as the Roslyn (L.I.) News, editor and founder of the L.I. monthly newspaper, Teen To Teen, and owner and editor of the newspaper, Spotlight, for the Palm Beaches (FL). Pat was active in many political and social causes. She also loved to travel, spend time with friends and family and to play bridge. She married Dr. Lazarus C. Weiner in 1956. Her husband predeceased her in 2012.

Pat is survived by her two sons and daughter-in laws: Glenn Weiner & Marian Passannante of Westfield, NJ and Neil Weiner & Laura Pollack Weiner, of West Windsor, NJ. She is also survived by four grandchildren: Daniela, Jessica, Benjamin, and Nicholas.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday December 24 at 11am at Temple Beth-El in Great Neck, NY. The family will receive visitors on Sunday, December 27 from 2 - 5pm in Westfield, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to Planned Parenthood online at https://www.plannedparenthood.org.
