It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Paula Discount, a beloved mother, grandmother, and educator, who left us peacefully on March 27th, 2025. Born in Brooklyn, and raised in Great Neck, Paula's life was a testament to love, dedication, and service to others.
Paula was a devoted mother to her children, David and Robin London, and a cherished grandmother to her grandchildren, Drew, Rachel, Tyler, and Brandon. Her family meant the world to her, and she found great joy in spending time with them and watching them grow.
A passionate and dedicated teacher, Paula spent many years inspiring and shaping young minds within the Great Neck School public SchoolSystem. Her commitment to education and her genuine care for her students left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of learning from her. She was known for her patience, compassion, and unwavering belief in the potential of every student.
Paula was predeceased by her beloved husband, Seymour Discount, with whom she shared a loving and fulfilling life. Together, they built a legacy of kindness, integrity, and generosity.
Paula's memory will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched. She will be remembered for her warmth, wisdom, and the love she gave so freely to those around her.
A private service will be held to honor Paula's life. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to American Cancer in Paula's memory.
She will be deeply missed but forever loved.
A graveside service for Paula will be held Sunday, March 30, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at Beth David Cemetery, 300 Elmont Rd, Elmont, NY 11003.
